The late Steve Jobs was honored with a Grammy Trustees Award
on Saturday for his contributions to the music industry, which included helping
to develop the iPod and reshaping the way music is sold with the iTunes Store.
The award is meant to “recognize contributions to the music
industry in areas other than performance,” CBS News reports, and was accepted by Apple’s SVP of
Internet Software and Services Eddy Cue.
“Accepting this award means so much to me because music meant
so much to him,” Cue said at the awards ceremony. “He told us that music shaped
his life. It made him who he was. Everyone who knows Steve knows the profound
impact that artists like Bob Dylan and the Beatles had on him.”
Apple was previously awarded a technical Grammy in 2002, but
this award is meant specifically for Jobs. Other recipients of this year’s
Trustees Awards include band leader Dave Bartholomew and jazz engineer Rudy Van
Gelder. Past winners include Walt Disney and The Beatles, company that we’re
sure Jobs wouldn’t mind standing alongside.

of the color and excitement of Music's Biggest Night.

GRAMMY Live will kick off with the 54th Annual
GRAMMY Awards red-carpet arrivals at noon. From 1–3:30 p.m. GRAMMY Live will
feature a live stream of the Pre-Telecast Ceremony, which will award GRAMMYs in
nearly 70 categories. Subsequently, additional behind-the-scenes footage will
offer viewers a "multiscreen" experience, complementing the CBS
GRAMMY telecast with red-carpet coverage, backstage interviews, exclusive photo
sessions with GRAMMY winners with official backstage GRAMMY photographer Danny
Clinch, press room question-and-answer sessions, and past GRAMMY moments.

Chris Brown will
perform Sunday at this year’s Grammy Awards, the event where his career almost
ended three years ago.
This will be Brown's first
appearance at the Grammys since his 2009 assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna
during Grammy weekend. That year both stars were scheduled to perform, but both
canceled. Rihanna, however, has since appeared on the show.

Despite being nominated in
years since, Brown has not attended the ceremony. The performance is not meant
to be formally announced prior to the show.
Brown is up for three
Grammys, including Best R&B Album for his 2011 opus,F.A.M.E., as well
as Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for his track "Look at Me
Now," which also features Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes.
Rihanna is also slated to
attend on Sunday. She's set to take the stage with Coldplay and is up for
a handful of her own awards including Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal
Album for Loud as well Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for "What's
My Name?" which features Drake.

Brown and Rihanna were
supposed to perform at the 2009 Grammys, but that changed after Brown attacked
the pop singer in the early morning hours before the show. Since then, Brown
hasn’t attended the Grammys, though he was nominated for three awards last
year.

Rihanna and Brown won't be
the only two A-listers taking the stage at Sunday's show. Adele, Katy Perry,
Taylor Swift, Paul McCartney, Foo Fighters, Bruno Mars, Kelly Clarkson, Jason
Aldean and Nicki Minaj are also confirmed to perform live at the 54th annual
awards show, which will be hosted by LL Cool J and take place in Los Angeles.
