25 year old Pawan Kumar slaps UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal

UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal was slapped by a young agitator during a tea reception in the Capital on Friday.

Pawan Kunwar, a 25-year-old from Baglung, slapped Dahal while exchanging greetings during a tea reception organised at Bhrikutimandap. Dahal's spectacles flew off his face when he was slapped .Kunwar was immediately taken into custody by the police. However, he was attacked and seriously injured by the UCPN (Maoist) cadres.
UCPN (Maoist) had arranged the reception to mark the occasions of Dashain, Tihar, Chhat and Nepal Sambat. Along with Dahal, Vice Chairman and Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai and Vice Chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha were also on the dais.
Dahal had come along with other cadres to exchange greeting with Dahal along with the other dignitaries on the dais.
