Brody Jenner and pop star Avril Lavigne have split up after nearly two years together, it has been claimed. The relationship partly ended because Avril, 27, and Brody, 28, had opposing views on marriage. The singer - who had a hit with the song Complicated - has been married before, to Sum 41 front man Deryck Whibley, whom she wed in July 2006.

She started dating Brody shortly after filing for divorce in 2009. Now it is alleged that she wants to go down the aisle again. But Brody - whose stepsister Kim Kardashian recently ended her 72-day marriage - supposedly doesn't want to become a husband. Another source told Life & Style: 'She wanted to settle down, but he wasn't exactly ready. 'They had been having problems starting in the summer with her tour because she was on the road all the time. 'It put a strain on their relationship.' The couple have not commented on the alleged split. Brody is the son of Bruce Jenner who is married to Kris Jenner, the matriarch of the Kardashian family. He gained fame after becoming a regular on the MTV reality TV series, The Hills.
